Sheila Cottrell Featured in “Cowgirl Up!” Art Exhibit

February 21, 2010

Beginning March 26th and running through May 2, 2010, the art of Sheila Cottrell (along with others) will be featured at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, Arizona. The exhibit is called Cowgirl Up! Art from the Other Half of the West. This presentation by Sheila is being supported by The Barrick Family of Companies.

The Barrick family has been collecting the art of Sheila Cottrell for years, and during this time they have become close and personal friends. While residing in Tucson, she comes from one of the pioneer families of Arizona and has a way of expressing her art that is truly remarkable. Sheila was mentored by the late James Reynolds whom the Barricks claimed as a personal friend as well. To be able to assist in her efforts gives the Barrick family a strong sense of pride and accomplishment. We absolutely appreciate the opportunity and hope that all would come to Wickenburg during this time period and take advantage of viewing the wonderful art by Shelia Cottrell.
