Wedding Announcement

May 2, 2010

A notable, esteemed and glorious event took place within the Barrick family in April. Monte W. Barrick and Candace S. Peterson were wed on April 24, 2010. The event took place in Navarre, Florida, amid white sands and blue-green Gulf waters. The couple had a quaint and private beach wedding with only a few close friends and family attending.

The ceremony was celebrated by a reception held within the resort community of Sandestin in Destin, Florida. There were 37 in attendance, and to accompany the bride and groom were Monte’s three sons, Christian, Alex and David.

For all the friends who were unable to attend the Florida event, Monte’s parents plan a second reception for the couple and invited guests to attend a “Southern cookout” at the home of D.W. and Freda Barrick later in the month of May.

Candace is a native of the small farm and ranch community of Delphi, Indiana, where her parents and grandmothers still reside. Her parents Larry and Janet Peterson, along with both of her grandmothers and brother, attended the ceremony.

After obtaining her degree from Purdue University, Candace enjoyed a short stay in southern Florida before moving to the Phoenix area. The couple has known each other for several years as friends and business collaborators prior to developing a more permanent relationship. After spending a week in the New Orleans area, the couple will return to their home and sons in Northeast Phoenix.

The Barrick family is elated with this new union and welcomes Candace with open arms as she and Monte begin their life together and another generation of Barrick family forms for the future.
